Prices are affordable and services for the most important long-distance routes are frequent, but the quality of the vehicles varies. It is advisable not to always opt for the cheapest option. Many cities lack a main terminal. Vehicles rarely arrive or depart on time, so consider average journey times as the best possible option. Delays are often considerable during the rainy season, especially in the highlands and Amazonia.
