The culture of peru is infinite and wonderful, Nevado Chachani is a large stratovolcano in southern Peru, 25 km from Arequipa, Peru's second largest city. The volcano is covered with permanent ice and snow.
If you have never hiked or hiked to the summit of a mountainWe believe that you should take advantage of this opportunity, as the feeling of standing on top of a snow-capped volcano after having given your all is unmatched.
Chachani is a dormant volcano. Evidence of its volcanic activity arises from the lava domes, stratovolcanoes and remnant shield volcanoes that mark the landscape. According to studies conducted by the INGEMMET Volcanological Observatory, Chachani's last eruption dates back more than 56,000 years.
Chachani is much wider than it is high, standing some 2000 metres above its surrounding terrain, with a width of some 17 000 metres. Its slopes are steep as evidenced by the zigzag paths on the southeastern flank of the mountain. Snowfields are visible near the peaks, but there are no glaciers left on this mountain today. The region once had extensive glaciers during the last glacial maximum, some 20,000 years ago.
